Goodbye 2020

Royal Realty's comments about 2020.

What is there to say about 2020? As it started it almost seemed like a joke but as time progressed there was nothing funny about 2020. We started with an extended vacation and day drinking - to all time high unemployment rates and more than 100 Hawaii local businesses shut down. Our friends and families started off with “free” money from the government to ever decreasing unemployment benefits. Royal Realty started with an excuse to play with new tech toys to help show our listings to only being able to show properties virtually.

With 2020 behind us, I am not only grateful for the past year but for all the support from everyone around me. There is no way I would have made it without landlords being understanding of tenant situations, tenants having open communication regarding their situation, vendors taking precautions to keep everyone safe, banks facilitating different programs to help current homeowners and the state facilitating additional support payments to not just Royal Realty, but our associated partners. A big thanks to everyone for sticking with us/me through this year.

With all that said I am looking forward to 2021!

It feels like the opportunity for a new beginning. New Year's resolutions to be set, Hawaii businesses to reopen and hopefully some traveling after I get rid of my Covid 15 pounds! As I am typing this I am knocking on wood, but remaining hopeful. I wish everyone out there who may be reading this a Happy New Year, thank you for your support and see you next time.
